Tuesday, October 8: “The Witness of God”

Micah 1: 2: “Hear, O peoples, all of you; listen, O earth and all it contains, and let the Lord God be a witness against you, the Lord from His holy temple.”

As Paul testified to the Lycaonians, God has never left Himself without a witness (Acts 14: 17)--even if He Himself has to be that witness. Sometimes the prolonged evil He witnesses demands a witness of judgment, which can be quite graphic. But it is accompanied with a witness of hope, as we see in Micah’s prophecies.
