Tuesday, September 17: “Trust, Hope, Heart”
Psalm 62: 10: “Do not trust in oppression and do not vainly hope in robbery; if riches increase, do not set your heart upon them.“
David had already learned what he should wait for: the hope of God’s power, glory, and salvation. He was like Paul, in that he had times of humble means and times of prosperity (Philippines 4: 12), but in all times, he focused on the Lord. And whenever his focus did drift, the Lord was faithful to bring him back in line, for his heart was set on God alone!
