Wednesday, October 9: “The Witness of Jesus”
Luke 7: 20b, 22: “‘John the Baptist has sent us to You, to ask, “Are You the Expected One, or do we look for someone else?”’ And [Jesus] answered and said to them, ‘Go and report to John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the poor have the Gospel preached to them.’”
As mentioned in Monday’s MDR, a witness operates not only in words, but in acts. Jesus is the primary example. His signs were attesting miracles, bearing witness to the power of God. Any miracles the Lord does through His people today are for the same reason; to witness of Him and to bring glory to His Name.
