Weekend Prayer

When you start to feel defeated, He who promised is faithful.

When you feel like your prayers are kept unanswered, He who promised is faithful.

When you feel like you are overlooked, He who promised is faithful.

When you feel like you are not enough, He who promised is faithful.

When you feel like you are not making a difference, He who promised is faithful.

When you feel like everything's falling apart, He who promised is faithful.

When you feel you've done your best but to no avail, He who promised is faithful.

When you feel there's no end to the struggles, He who promised is faithful.

“For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 1:6

=====

“Almighty Father, You are merciful, loving, and faithful. Your love is constant. It is everlasting. It is unconditional. Oftentimes we forget this because we focus too much on our lack, our weaknesses, and our errors. We focus too much on ourselves that we forget who You are and what You’ve done for us.

“Forgive us, Lord, in those times when we regard our feelings and emotions to be more important than You. Help us, Lord, to dwell on Your promise of hope, love, and peace. In our times of sadness and anxiety, we know You are right there with us. Help us to fix our eyes on You for we know that Your plans for us are always for our good.

“Thank You, Lord, for loving us unconditionally. Despite our failures, You have always been faithful. As we live our daily lives, encountering different struggles and various challenges, may we focus on Your love that is all-encompassing. May we always remember that Your love is greater than anything we will ever encounter in this world. Thank You for Your unending grace that gets us through each and every day. Amen+”

There are times when we feel rejected and insignificant at work, school, our community, and even in our own homes. We feel like we’ve given our all, but there are times when we can’t help but feel unappreciated and overlooked. Yes, our feelings may be valid, but let us remember that our Father God is a faithful and loving God, who loves us wholly and unconditionally. He recognizes all our efforts and we are always precious in His sight despite our failures and weaknesses. Let us fix our eyes on this amazing love of God. No matter what we are going through, may we learn to focus on God and His promises of hope, love, and peace.

“For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for prosperity and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” – Jeremiah 29:11
