Psalm 5: 7:“But as for me, by Your abundant lovingkindness I will enter Your house, at Your holy temple I will bow in reverence for You.” We seem to think we are the first generation of Christians to be denied access to public Sunday worship in a proper sanctuary. The ancient believers in their catacombs, those living in countries where the faith is illegal, and soldiers during wartime, among many others, would be quick to disagree. They were denied the privilege, and for a much longer period of time. Be that as it may, isn’t it a tremendous thrill to be able to get back home once in a while?
