“See the Light”

Luke 8: 18: “Therefore take care how you listen.” The contest of this verse is listening, and what you do with the light that comes when you hear the truth. To truly listen is to put the light on a lampstand, so all can see it. If we hide the light under the bed we are not truly listening, and we have not truly heard; and what light we think we have will be taken away. Plus, how dangerous is it to have a lit candle under the bed, anyway?
