“Ready for Anything”

1 Samuel 17: 24: “When all the men of Israel saw the man (Goliath), they fled from him and were greatly afraid.” Earlier the men of Israel ‘drew up in battle array to encounter the Philistines.’ They seemed ready for One Big Fight, but none of them had bargained for this! But we have to realize, if the Lord is with us, nothing is too hard. From a large angry army to a single oversized blabbermouth, He (and we) can handle anything thrown at us, for there is nothing greater than our God!
