“Point of View”

Mark 2: 25: “Have you never read what David did when he was in need and became hungry, he and his companions ...” This is one of those places where critics of the Bible say, “See, Jesus contradicts Himself. David was alone at Nob. (1 Samuel 22: 1) This proves the Bible is full of errors.” No, this proves the Bible can be trusted. If such an obvious inconsistency was not changed by centuries of transcribers and translators, it shows they were scrupulous in handing down exactly what they received. There was a reason for Jesus saying what He said the way He said it, and as soon as we start looking at the passage from that point of view instead of being critical of it, the sooner we will get what He was telling us.
