“Jesus’ Busy Day”

Mark 5: 21-22; 25; 27: “And when Jesus had crossed again in the boat to the other side, a great multitude gathered about Him; and He stayed by the seashore. And one of the synagogue officials named Jairus came up … And a woman who had had a hemorrhage for twelve years … after hearing about Jesus, came up …” As both Mark and Luke seem to tell the story, Jesus calmed the sea storm in the evening, finished the crossing and, upon landing, cast out the legion of demons from the man in the tombs, crossed the sea again, then performed two of His most famous miracles - the healing of the woman’s issue of blood and the raising of Jairus’ daughter - all before evening the next day. And you think you’re busy! “The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this.” (Isaiah 9: 7).
