“Plunder Aplenty!”

Exodus 12: 35, 36: “Now the sons of Israel had done according to the word of Moses, for they had requested from the Egyptians articles of silver and articles of gold, and clothing; and the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have their request. Thus they plundered the Egyptians” . Did you ever wonder where the Israelites got their offerings when Moses asked them to give “gold, silver, and bronze … and colored material … and porpoise skins” (Exodus 35: 5-9)? There was probably not a branch of “Porpoise Skins R Us” out there in the wilderness. Everything they needed for the Tabernacle, they got here, by plundering the Egyptians. David got the material to build the temple from the same source, conquered kingdoms. When God says He will bring unto us the wealth of the nations, He means it. He is our provider!
