“Time to Stir”

Luke 23: 5: “But they kept on insisting, ‘He stirs up the people, preaching all over Judea, starting from Galilee, even as far as this place.’” In that time and place governors like Pilate were very wary about the people getting stirred up, for an agitated populace could get him fired by Caesar – or worse. But looking at today’s phone-swatting, Netflix-gazing autotrons, the thing we need the most now is someone to stir up the people and get our attention on what is really important. Lord, we’re ready to be stirred now!
