“Guts before Glory”

Mark 9: 29: “And Jesus said to them, ‘This kind cannot come out by anything but prayer and fasting.’” We all dream of those “power moments”: the winning 3-pointer, the class-topping exam grade, the first long-worked-for kiss. But as anyone who gets one of those moments will tell you, they don’t come easy. In Kingdom work, a lack of self-denial and/or self-discipline will, sooner or later, manifest itself in the lack of spiritual power moments.
