“Bio-Gospel”

Matthew 9: 9: “And as Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man, called Matthew, sitting in the tax office; and He said to him, ‘Follow Me.’ And he rose, and followed Him.” When does a Gospel become an autobiography? When one of the twelve apostles writes it. Matthew, along with Luke and Mark, records this incident to ensure people know this wasn’t just hearsay; Matthew was there. It also reminds us that, even if we’re aren’t popular with anyone else (what tax man is?), Jesus still loves us as much as He does anyone else.
