“Exemplary Sacrifice”

Hebrews 7: 28: “For the Law appoints men as high priests who are weak, but the word of the oath, which came after the Law, appoints a Son, made perfect forever.” The Law had its priests and the Law had its sacrifices, none of whom were perfect. The Gospel has Jesus Christ, perfect Priest and perfect Sacrifice rolled into one, in the form of the Cross, represented by the letter “x”, which is found in every day’s title this week. Like the Law itself, it always pointed to Christ!
