“Refined Purpose”

Joshua 1: 2b: “Arise, cross the Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them, to the sons of Israel.” For forty years the people of Israel have had one goal, to get to the Promised Land. Now their purpose expands: Get in there and take it! Recent months have taught many of us that our aims in life have been too low, too self-centered. As we resume a more familiar existence let us remember that the journey is not enough. It’s about the life lived at the destination.
