“Determination”

Friday, October 16

Psalm 16: 6: “The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me.” David had lived a pretty hard life: First as a disrespected younger brother and son, then as a disrespected fugitive enemy of the king, then as a disrespected husband ridiculed by his wife, then as a disrespected king rebelled against not once, but twice, by one of his own sons. What heritage? Again we see one of God’s children walking by faith, not by sight, and not giving up, because he knew he had a future and a hope in the God he loved, served, and believed.
