Luke 11: 30:“For just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so shall the Son of Man be to this generation.” What is the sign of Jonah? His flight to Tarshish? The storm he survived? The great fish? The sign of Jonah is success: that he preached to more than 120, 000 people (Jonah 4:11) and they all repented (Jonah 3: 5). Likewise, Christ came to save the whole world (John 3: 17), not just a little piece of it. So, God doesn’t need us to save the world; Jesus already did that. Let’s just help Him to love it a bit.
