John 9: 35: “Jesus heard that they had put him out; and finding him He said, ‘Do you believe in the Son of Man?’” At the beginning of this story Jesus had said, “We must work the works of God.” What are the works of God? As He had already told the Jews after feeding the 5000, it is to believe in Him (John 6: 29). But in more specific terms, it is to love. Jesus loved the man by healing his eyesight, then He loved Him further by being his Shepherd. After having been forsaken by his parents and excommunicated by his spiritual leaders, he needed someone to be there for him at the hour of his greatest need. And there was Jesus. We can all learn something from this.
