“Who You Calling ‘Worm’?”

Psalm 22: 6: “But I am a worm, and not a man, a reproach of men, and despised by the people.” Remember who is speaking these words: King David himself, and prophetically, it refers to Christ. Both these were men greatly loved by the general population, although more famously persecuted by a certain few individuals. The point is, don’t let the accuser, the enemy, convince you that you are a failure, the scum of the earth. That is one of his most successful tactics; don’t let him use it on you. God’s favor on you is greater than any of the enemy’s indictments! After all, even worms can be popular: remember gummy worms?
