Psalm 111: 4: “He has made His wonders to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and compassionate.” The Lord’s wonderful acts are not just hataw for the moment. They are to be remembered; that’s why we practiced contemplation during Lent. And if we meditated and contemplated well, one thing, perhaps the most important thing, we remembered about the Lord’s wonderful acts is that they were not always about “boom, boom, pow”, the things that grab attention and activate adrenalin rushes. They were, and are, acts of grace and compassion, acts that demonstrate the power of His love rather than the love of His power.
