“Culture Crime?”

Deuteronomy 12: 2-3: “You shall utterly destroy all the places where the nations whom you dispossess serve their gods, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree. And you shall tear down their altars and smash their sacred pillars and burn their Asherim with fire, and you shall cut down their engraved images of their gods, and you shall obliterate their name from that place.” This is not a very politically correct scripture anymore. Can you imagine what UNESCO would say about such behavior? Things seem to have changed. But the rule still applies to our hearts; when an inner conversion is made in a person’s heart, all vestiges of loyalty to other gods (mostly self) must go!
