“Sure Word” (Thank You, Lord!)
2 Samuel 7: 29: “Now therefore may it please You to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue forever before You. For You, O Lord God, have spoken; and with Your blessing may the house of Your servant be blessed forever.” What the disciples had trouble understanding in yesterday’s reading, David had understood almost a thousand years before. When God speaks something, such as a promise, you can count on it! It is up to us to believe and receive. If necessary, pray the prayer of the father in Mark 9: 24: “I do believe; help my unbelief.”
