“Sure Word II” (Ouch, Lord!)

2 Samuel 12: 10: “Now therefore, the sword will never depart from your house, because you have despised Me and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.” We’ve highlighted numerous verses lately that demonstrate the sureness of God’s promises. But this is true of all His promises: the good, and the … undesirable. The Lord’s promise here was fulfilled just as faithfully as the promise of blessing; from the day it was uttered to the day of David’s death, men in his household like Amnon, Absalom, Adonijah, and Joab wielded their swords and their cunning against him. Like it or not, God’s faithfulness in 100 %!
