“Leadership 101”

1 Kings 18: 21; 24: “And Elijah came near to all the people and said, ‘How long will you hesitate between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.’ But the people did not answer him a word … ‘Then call on the name of your god, and I will call on the Name of the Lord, and the God Who answers by fire, He is God.’ And all the people answered and said, ‘It is good.’” Sometimes just confronting people with the truth isn’t enough. Just challenging them to choose isn’t enough. They will answer not a word. Sometimes you have to present a plan, designed to produce results, to get them on board. At least, that’s how it worked for Elijah.
