“This Is Not an Option”

Matthew 6: 9: “Pray, then, in this way:” Jesus didn’t say, ‘You might try this …’ or ‘One possible approach is …’ when it comes to prayer. Why do you think that it is His topic here, in the geographic center of His most important sermon? (A sermon He preached many times, but is recorded in its entirety only here in Matthew 5-7, and partially in Luke 6) We cannot disregard this thing called prayer.
