“Ol’ Fire Eyes”

Revelation 1: 14: “And His head and hair were white like wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire.” In these times when many are lapsing into hopelessness, we accuse the Lord as one who no longer sees or cares. But look at His eyes. Not those miss-the-mark baby blue fantasies of some artwork, but His eyes as they really are – filled with fiery passion, seeing all, missing nothing. Just as He said to His children in Egypt, “I have seen.” (Exodus 2: 9) He’s still watching, still seeing, and is still active in deliverance concerning what He sees. Never doubt those eyes; they see, they care, they act.
