“Who Woulda Thunk It?”

Exodus 14: 4: “Thus I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will chase after them; and I will be honored through Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord.” Here is a perfect example of what we learned both Wednesday and Friday. Who ever would have thought that Pharaoh could give God honor, after all the times he tried to act deceitfully toward Moses, and keep he and the Israelites in Egypt? And did it feel to the Israelites like victory, to be wandering around in the wilderness? Probably not. But God had His plan, and He kept His presence with the people, so there was no chance of failure. Next in this story we’ll see just how powerful and faithful God was!
