“Shady Fruit”

Psalm 121:5: “The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand.” There was once a little lad who, after a while of helping his grandfather in the garden under the hot July sun, said, ‘Granddaddy, when I get grown I’m going to plant my garden in the shade!’ Metaphorically, the right hand is the hand of strength and work. And although it violates the laws of agriculture, God promises to shade us in our labors for Him, that we may be refreshed and thus, more fruitful.
