“Righteous Standard”

Psalm: 18: 20: “The Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me.” This was consistent throughout David’s life. At the beginning, when David walked in righteousness, he was blessed. The Lord even provided a rich widow to provide for him and his six hundred men. Later, when he got distracted from the righteous path, God provided rebels, even from within his own family, to bring him no end of trouble up to his dying day. Truly, as Jesus says, the Lord rewards us according to our deeds(Matthew 16: 27).
