“He Wants You to Know”

Colossians 1: 9: “… we have not ceased to pray for you and ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding.” God has a will: A will for all His people collectively (believe in His Son, walk in love, etc.), and a will for each of us individually. Some of this individual will is practical (what career path to take, whom to marry) and some is spiritual (what area of ministry to pursue, for example). The main takeaway here is that He wants you to know that will, as He fills you with spiritual understanding. He wants you to know, and He teaches us to pray for that wisdom and knowledge (see also James 1: 5) which will show it to us. So, if it is God’s will for you to know His will it will happen, if you will pray!
