“Rejoicing God”

Deuteronomy 30: 9: “Then the Lord your God will prosper you abundantly … for the Lord will again rejoice over you for good, just as He rejoiced over your fathers.” Just who were the fathers the Lord rejoiced over? The fathers of this generation born in the wilderness was the generation who had worked as slaves in Egypt – and the ones who had grieved God in the desert. You mean, He rejoiced over them? Looks that way. Realize this: Even when times seem at their lowest, God is rejoicing, because He sees the good times headed your way (deliverance, restoration). And if He’s rejoicing, shouldn’t you join Him?
