“Passover, Four Hundred Years Early”


Genesis 19: 3: “Yet Lot urged them strongly, so they turned aside to him and entered his house; and he prepared a feast for them, and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.” Ever wonder why St. Peter called Lot righteous? (2 Peter 2: 7, 8) The one thing you can see is his hospitality, very big in the ancient east. Lot tried to protect his heavenly visitors and fed them the bread for when there’s no time to cook, bread without leaven. Although the angels ended up saving Lot’s family, not the other way around, at least he tried.
