“Eucharist, One Year Early.”

John 6: 51: “I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he shall live forever; and the bread also which I shall give for the life of the world is My flesh.” From Lot’s odd attempt to feed God, we come to God’s eternal promise to feed man. The feeding of the five thousand wasn’t the Passover, for this bread was leavened; rather, it was an out of time celebration of the Eucharist, where we receive the sustaining grace of God in the fullness of His presence and the reality of His life.
