“Anger: Not Toward My Family”

Mark 3: 21, 31: “And when His own people heard of this, they went out to take custody of Him; for they were saying, ‘He has lost His senses.’… And His mother and His brothers arrived, and standing outside they sent word to Him, and called Him.” What do you do if you are Jesus, and your family comes from Nazareth to take you home because they think you’re nuts? Wouldn’t that warrant just a little bit of anger? Not for Jesus. His response covers them, rather than exposing or accusing them, while nevertheless firmly refusing their invitation to come home until He’s “Himself” again. How well did He cover them? Did you even realize this incident was in the Bible?
