Day 17: Spiritual Food in Quarantine

“My Help Comes From The Lord” (Ps 121, Ps 123, Exo 5:1-6:1)

The Israelites in Exodus 5 were in great distress. Their obligations remained the same but their provisions were diminished. We can all probably relate to this. May we have this attitude - “as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, so our eyes look to Lord until He is gracious to us.” Our help comes from the Lord.

Sometimes we ask God “why?” Sometimes God doesn't give an answer. We may not be certain about some things, but we are certain about one thing: the Lord our God is with us. Even through the valley of the shadow of death, we don’t have to fear. He will never leave us. Sometimes it would seem like He is asleep or doesn’t hear but He's in the boat with us. He really will neither slumber nor sleep.

Faith is the evidence of things unseen. We may not always see, we may not always understand, we may not always have the answers, but we are always assured that God is with us. May what we are facing make us a better society, a better humanity, so that after overcoming, we may live in a better world, well on the way to the manifestation of the fullness of God’s kingdom. May we His children be the frontliners in this campaign.
