Day 67: Spiritual Food in Quarantine

The Ascension of our Lord Jesus

Jesus did not ascend to heaven to put a physical distance between Him and us or to evacuate a deteriorating world. He ascended to be exalted to the right hand of God, so that where He is, there we may be also. We are seated with Him in heavenly places. That's why He said it is to our advantage that He goes because He was taking us with Him on high. If then we have been raised up with Christ, we are to seek the things of that higher plane. Because we may be in this world but we are of heaven where love, joy, peace, righteousness and hope are normal. And we are instruments to increasingly make that the new normal here on earth.
