“Thanking is Blessing”

Matthew 15: 36: “Jesus took the seven loaves and the fish; and giving thanks, He broke them and started giving them to the disciples, and the disciples in turn, to the multitude.” When Jesus fed the five thousand, it says He “blessed the food.” (Matthew 14: 19) Here He gives thanks. What’s the difference? None. In the Hebrew it’s the same word, one inseparable action of thanking and blessing. That’s why a thankful attitude is so important!
