“Higher Realm”

Matthew 22: 43: “And [Jesus] said to them, ‘Then how does David in the Spirit call him “Lord”’?” David was an interesting man; he did some great things, and he did some despicable things. The difference? Whether or not he was “in the Spirit.” With him it was rather hit and miss, But as Romans 8 tells us this week, “You are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you.” (Romans 8: 9) Since Pentecost, this is now God’s perpetual gift to His people, for now not only are we “in the Spirit,” but the Spirit is in us! (John 14: 17)
