“What Have They Heard?”

Joshua 2: 10: “For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea before you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan.” Rahab, a pagan harlot, was willing to help the two spies at the risk of her life because of what she had heard about Israel. What would she hear about the Church today; that the blind receive sight, the deaf hear, and the poor receive good news (Matthew 11: 5), or about petty bickering, massive egos, and a general lack of love? If we want Jericho’s walls to fall, we have to remember who we are.
