May 8, 2024 Daily Dose of Discernment

… a long-range plan in which everything would be brought together and summed up in Him, everything in deepest heaven, everything on planet earth. (Ephesians 1:10)

God intends to bring back the beauty of the cosmos He made and loves so much. It was in perfect harmony. Man, seemingly its crowning glory, was in solidarity with other created beings - fellow man, wife, flora, fauna, and even angels. But especially with his Creator. Sin and death entered the world and disrupted its goodness. God then immediately set in motion a plan to save it. His Son Whom He employed in its creation is the same agent He sent to redeem it.

That mystery of His will that once was hidden is now being revealed. Time will come when the restoration of all things will become a reality, and there will again be the unity of all things in heaven and on earth under the administration of Jesus. Then we will live in a new earth and there will be righteousness, justice, freedom and joy where death had been. We should live as if it’s already here, for then we will be hastening its fulfillment.
