Monday, November 6: “True Light Supported”
Matthew 13: 41: “The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His Kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness.”
This parable first shows us the existence of false light in conflict with the True Light, the Son of Man (vv. 34-39). But the main point is here: God has a plan to deal with the weeds, and it doesn’t involve the sons of the Kingdom getting all rowdy with them. No, He has angels ready to handle the weeds when the time comes; the wheat just shows the love of Jesus to the weeds, other wheat, and everyone else. That’s the only way they manifest themselves as Sons of the Light–now, and for all eternity! (v. 43)
