Luke 21: 14-15:“So make up your minds not to prepare beforehand to defend yourselves; for I will give you utterance and wisdom which none of your opponents will be able to resist or refute.” A common quip in legal circles goes, “The man who defends himself in court has a fool for a client.” Human nature wants to defend itself against any accusation, no matter where it comes from. Jesus shows us a better way. If our way is truly righteous, just, and wise, He will defend us as people see the results of our actions.
