Thursday, February 11: “Dust in the Wind” (with apologies to Kerry Livgren)
Psalm 83: 13, 14:“Oh my God, make them like the whirling dust; like chaff before the wind, like fire that burns the forest, and like a flame that sets the mountains on fire.” Who is this ‘them’ upon whom Asaph casts such imprecatation? Simple: Anyone who attempts to distort or replace the ways of God’s Kingdom with the ‘wisdom’ (read “greed” and “selfishness’) of man has such a dry and parched future awaiting, for they are promoting regression rather than progression.
