Thursday, June 1: “Crusin’ thru 2 Cor, Part IV”
2 Corinthians 3: 16, 17: “Whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” This scripture was not written in support of democracy or capitalism (or communism or socialism, for that matter). Precious few scriptures are. Rather, it illustrates how those who are blinded to the glory of God by their bondage to the letter of the law are set free from that blindness when they turn to the Lord. Being free in the Spirit means spiritual insight, not moral irresponsibility.
