Thursday, June 15: “Crusin’ thru 2 Cor, Part XVI”
2 Corinthians 12: 9: “And [Jesus] has said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.’ Most gladly, therefore, I will boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.” Do you want the power of Christ operating in your life? This true power is best expressed, perfected, and completed in our weakness. The Lord uses our weakness and difficulties, while knowing our limits and empowering us with His grace so that we can endure anything that comes into our lives. It is His way to keep us from thinking more highly of ourselves than we ought (v. 7).
