Tuesday, June 13: “Crusin’ thru 2 Cor, Part XIV”
2 Corinthians 11: 3: “I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.”
The Gospel is simple: Trust in God’s lovingkindness toward His children. He is concerned only for our well-being, and His ways are designed to bring that into our lives. The serpent tried to complicate things by convincing Eve (and Adam) that God could not be trusted, that He wanted to limit them from their potential. A lack of trust, dear friends, is the very root of sin. Pure and simple devotion to Christ is a matter of pure and simple trust.
