Luke 22: 28-30: “You are those who have stood by Me in My trials; and just as My Father has granted Me a Kingdom , I grant you that you may eat and drink at My table in My Kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
Say what you want about the apostles, but Jesus Himself commends them here for their support of Him throughout His ministry. The blessing He promises them for their faithfulness? More communion with Him and each other. The Kingdom of God still works this way to this day; the ultimate blessing is walking and working together with Him and our fellow believers.
