Mark 10: 37:“They said to [Jesus], ‘Grant that we may sit in Your glory, one on your right, and one on your left.’” Oh, you Sons of Thunder! Notice, they didn’t ask to dwell in Christ’s love, or His mercy, or His grace—just His glory. That’s the motivation for many Christians; they’re only in it for the glory. And that, dear friends, is why we have Lent.
