John 1: 1, 2: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.” This brief preamble to this sublime Gospel sums up all that sets the Christian faith apart in twenty-four simple words any primary schooler can understand. Here we find that Jesus Christ is God, and that He has always existed as God within the eternal Godhead. Even as unbelievers debate and deny these twenty-four words, and alter them by omission and addition, they still stand to point out to man the way to eternal life. Thank God for these twenty-four words!
