PAGTITIPON | Kaibigan Ko Si Hesus

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” MATTHEW 19:14

Every last Saturday of the month, all the different ministries of the Cathedral of the King gather as one Stew Ward Ministry to minister to children, youth, and parents in our Marimar 1 & 2 Community. Last July 30, we held our monthly Pagtitipon at the Marimar I Basketball Court since the church sanctuary was being prepared for the Diocesan Mass the following day.

Our theme for July, “Kaibigan Ko Si Hesus” is the second of a 3-part series on the person of God.

Thank God for our able-bodied Acolytes who are also part of our Youth Ministry, who brought all the chairs and tables.

Our awesome clergy and members of our Men’s Ministry who volunteered as Transportation Team, diligently fetched the children from Sitio.

Representatives from our Prayer and Counseling Ministry, Elderly, Ladies’, and Shepherd’s Touch Ministry were present to lead the Registration of the children, under the guidance of our Children’s Ministry teachers.

As July is also Nutrition Month, some of the children remembered to bring their favorite fruit and vegetable and we had a brief discussion on the importance of a healthy diet before we began the Program with a prayer by our beloved Bp. Ariel Santos. Hans Lim, Jason Nemenzo, and Allysa Pacheco led our Praise and Worship while Teacher Cora engaged everyone to dance along. Breakout sessions which included a beautiful story of Jesus’ friendship with Zacchaeus and age-appropriate coloring and games were facilitated by Dcn Cyril Bunuan for the 6&below group, Sis. Chat Jandayan for the 7-9 group, and Dcn EJ Diaz for the 10-12 group.

Our teacher deacons led the children and everyone present in a prayer circle right before the Feasting. Our Media Ministry sponsored the nutritious and delicious breakfast. It was a memorable and fun morning building up the community and leading the children to Jesus!

Tomorrow, Saturday, Aug. 26, is another opportunity for the church to serve as one. Our theme for August is “Ang Banal na Espiritu ang Gumagabay sa Akin!” Join us tomorrow from 8am to 930am in church and experience how the Holy Spirit truly guides us and our children to know God and make Him known.

If the Lord touches your heart to bless our Stew Ward Ministry with your time, talents, and treasures, you may get in touch with Dcn Ritche and Sis. Chat Jandayan.
